AGC Maine Celebrates Construction Excellence at the 2026 Build Maine Awards

News,

Portland, Maine — April 28, 2026 — The Associated General Contractors of Maine (AGC Maine) and over 150 contractors gathered last Wednesday, April 22nd at Innovation Hall at the University of New England in Portland to celebrate the recipients of the 2026 Build Maine Awards, recognizing the year’s most outstanding construction projects and the teams behind them.

The Build Maine Awards represent a highly competitive and rigorous selection process. A panel of judges from across the design, engineering, construction, and owner communities evaluates each project to ensure a balanced and comprehensive perspective. The judging process is confidential and considers a wide range of criteria, including safety, innovation in construction techniques and materials, contribution to the community, ability to meet the challenges of complex projects, environmental sensitivity, and overall client satisfaction.

Because each project varies in size, scope, and complexity, judges have the flexibility to recognize excellence across multiple categories, ensuring that each project is evaluated on its own merits.

The 2026 Build Maine Award winners are:

“These award-winning projects represent the very best of Maine’s construction industry,” said Kelly Flagg, Executive Director of AGC Maine. “Each team demonstrated exceptional commitment to safety, innovation, and craftsmanship while overcoming unique challenges. Just as importantly, these projects reflect a strong dedication to serving communities across our state. We are proud to recognize the people and companies who continue to raise the bar for excellence in construction.”

The event was sponsored by Cross Insurance, Sargent Corporation, Landry/French Construction, Hammond Lumber, Knowles Industrial, H.E. Callahan Construction, Gorham Sand & Gravel, Shaw Brothers Construction, Dirigo Materials, Northeast Paving, and PC Construction.
