AGC Maine Government Relations Committee:

Meets bi-weekly on Tuesdays during the Maine Legislative Session at 8:00AM in-person & virtually via Teams.

Co-Chairs - Glenn Adams (Sargent Corporation) & Darryl Coombs (Reed & Reed, Inc.).

The Government Relations Committee serves as the unified legislative and regulatory voice for Maine’s construction industry. Through proactive policy advocacy and strategic government affairs, the committee actively influences legislation, regulatory frameworks, and environmental policies. By building strong relationships with lawmakers and state agencies, the committee works tirelessly to improve Maine's overall business climate and protect member interests.

AGC Maine Building Committee:

Meets monthly on the first Thursday of the month at 9:00AM in-person & virtually via Teams.

Chair - Nick Gaddar (Landry/French Construction)

The Building Committee advances the interests of building contractors across both the public and private sectors in Maine. The committee drives innovation and standard excellence by focusing on modern project delivery systems, building-related legislation, and seamless public agency collaboration.

AGC Maine Energy & Industrial Committee:

Meets monthly on the second Thursday of the month at 9:00AM in-person & virtually via Teams.

Chair - Geoff Sparrow (Sparrow Energy Group)

The Energy & Industrial Committee champions the interests of contractors leading Maine’s heavy industrial, utility, and modern energy infrastructure projects. The committee actively monitors legislative and funding developments, regulatory mandates, and evolving energy sector initiatives to ensure members are positioned to build and maintain the state's power, utility, and industrial facilities.

AGC Maine Transportation & Site Work Committee:

Meets monthly on the third Thursday of the month at 9:00AM in-person & virtually via Teams.

Chair - Andy Kittredge (CPM Constructors)

The Transportation & Sitework Committee drives the advancement of Maine’s vital civil, heavy, highway, and utility infrastructure.

Transportation Infrastructure: Focuses on modernizing roads, bridges, paving, and heavy civil construction. The committee actively advocates for sustainable infrastructure funding, state legislation, and direct liaison partnerships with MaineDOT and the Maine Turnpike Authority.

Sitework: Promotes excellence, efficiency, and high-quality execution in sitework, wastewater installation, and other underground and soils related work. Key focus areas include environmental stewardship, Dig Safe protocols, etc.

AGC Maine Safety Committee **pilot committee:

Meets monthly on the third Thursday of the month at 12:00PM in-person with lunch provided (please make sure to RSVP with us) & virtually via Teams.

Chair - Jason Beam (CCB, Inc.)

The Safety Committee leads AGC Maine’s mission to cultivate a proactive culture of safety and health across every jobsite in the state. By partnering closely with regulatory bodies like OSHA, the committee shares critical risk-management best practices, and advocates for sensible safety standards. Through hands-on initiatives, safety peer networks, and continuous education, the committee empowers members to protect their workforce and ensure every worker returns home safely every day.

AGC Maine Human Resources Committee:

Meets monthly on the fourth Thursday of the month at 9:00AM in-person & virtually via Teams.

Chair - Robin Wood (Reed & Reed, Inc.)

The Human Resources Committee empowers AGC Maine members to build compliant, high-performing, and supportive workplace environments. Dedicated to navigating complex employment landscapes, the committee serves as a vital resource for staying aligned with Maine state HR rules, employment regulations, and evolving labor policies. Through strategic guidance on workers’ compensation management, risk mitigation, and proactive health initiatives, the committee helps members protect both their businesses and their people. Above all, the committee is committed to prioritizing holistic workforce well-being by advancing mental health awareness, suicide prevention programs, and supportive jobsite cultures across Maine's construction industry.

AGC Maine Emerging Contractors Group:

Meets monthly on the first Wednesday of the month at 8:30AM virtually-only via Teams.

Chair - Michael Rice (White Cap)

The Emerging Contractors Group connects, equips, and empowers the next generation of construction professionals and growing small businesses. Through targeted networking events, community involvement initiatives, and educational programming, the committee fosters professional growth and prepares new leaders to actively contribute to AGC Maine’s committees, governance, and overall mission.
