AGC Maine & Members Nationally Recognized for Safety Excellence sent

News,

AUGUSTA, ME — The Associated General Contractors of Maine (AGC Maine) received national recognition this month from AGC of America as a recipient of a AGC Chapter Safety Award as part of the National AGC Safety Awards (NASA) program in the Chapters with 126-250 members category. AGC of America hosts the National AGC Safety Awards (NASA) each year across chapters in the nation and has two award categories: AGC Chapter Safety Awards and AFC Member Awards. The Chapter Safety Awards are based on a weighted average of participation and the overall incident rate of the Chapter’s members. Each Chapter is divided into four size categories: Less than 125 general contractor members; 126-250 general contractor members; 251-400 general contractor members; and over 400 general contractor members.

“We are proud of our members' continued commitment to promoting the highest standards of safety in our industry. AGC Maine’s recognition in the AGC Chapter Safety Award this year is a direct reflection of our members’ dedication to safety excellence, and the chapter’s mission, vision, and values,” said Kelly Flagg, Executive Director at AGC Maine.

The NASA program has been an ongoing effort since 1991 to offer AGC Members an opportunity to evaluate their safety record and provide contractor members with excellent safety records to compete for nationally recognized awards. The awards process compares an AGC member’s safety record with other AGC members across the country according to the member’s size and construction type.

AGC Maine will gather in November of this year with members to recognize and celebrate this year’s NASA recipients.
