Work Zone Safety Supervisor

This course is aimed at a contractor’s Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS) who is managing a Traffic Control Plan (TCP)  and needs the initial training or the 5 year renewal.

It will provide a practical working knowledge of 1) MaineDOT Standard Spec #652 Maintenance of Traffic Control, and 2) the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (2023) and will include: 

* How to write and manage a DOT-required TCP.

* Principles of traffic control through various types of work zones

* Installation and removal techniques

* Importance of positive guidance to ensure safe traffic control areas for workers, and motorists and pedestrians.
